How to Make Your Personal Brand Stick with Your Target Clients

In the real estate industry, it’s no surprise that you may switch companies a few times during your career. Here’s a fact: The industry average sees agents switching offices up to three times over a 10-year period. But what does this mean for your personal brand as an agent?

Networking In Real Estate: The Business You Want and Need this 2023

Here’s one saying that is tried and true: “The most successful agents understand why networking is important.” Getting to know other professionals in your industry can open up tons of doors, so itโ€™s important for beginners to make connections.

Given that the real estate market is like a roller coaster where it never really stops, each ride has its ups and downs and the real estate industry itself relies on networking for continued success. As a real estate agent, itโ€™s crucial to have the skills to navigate these ups and downs to stay on top of your game.

In this blog entry, let’s talk about โ€œwinning friendsโ€ and networking as well as how it helps with your business this 2023 and in the future.

Why do experienced agents sell more homes? Yes, itโ€™s likely because theyโ€™re more skilled and confident, but the reason goes deeper. Theyโ€™ve had more time to build their network of friends. They know the importance of relationships, which is why theyโ€™re out there connecting with people every day.

Increase numbers and value. Real estate isnโ€™t the only industry where your network is directly correlated to success, but itโ€™s one of the few industries where almost everyone you meet will need real estate advice. Or, at least, they know people who will need guidance.

Talk about real estate with your friends, acquaintances, and strangers (but don’t overdo it!). Offer your perspectives. You never know who might be looking to buy or sell a house in your area. And you should be able to talk about your market in a way that makes people want to hang out with you.

Support local businesses and connect with local business owners.  How can you help make your town a better place to live? Can you join your local chamber of commerce, interview business owners, or attend networking events?

Joining groups with common interests. It’s time to exercise that extrovert muscle! A newer framework for describing your interests is HEFE. It stands for Hobbies, Entertainment, Food, and Environment. The places where you work, volunteer, play, and worship are also places where you have things in common with people.

Real estate businesses are the ultimate local business, with expertise in a particular geographical area. Networking in your community will bring you increased referrals, local recognition, and an avalanche of opportunities.
Good luck and stay tuned for more of our blog updates to help you make sense of what’s happening in the market and speak about the topics that matter most to you. #ForwardwithFairLead
